Annapurna Base Camp at 4130 meter/13546 feet is unique and incredibly spectacular, set with the ring of majestic peaks of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m) – very close in the site.
Annapurna base camp is situated in Myagdi district of Nepal 40 km directly north of Pokhara, geographically into the dead end of Nepalese territory. The only entrance to this magical place is a narrow valley between the Mountains- Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre, from here run-off from glaciers drain into Modi River. However, if you can cross these massif mountains there you will get to the trail of Annapurna circuit on the other side at Manang District of Nepal.
The route ascends a river valley that gradually narrows before opening up into an amphitheater of mountains. While other treks circle around the mountains or take you to panoramic viewpoints, this trek is more about getting to the base of these great Himalayan peaks. This trip presents pure nature and a social blend. It is a renowned trekking destination worldwide, offering a pleasant experience of nature and culture. This trip is exotically rich in natural as well as in social aspects. The trail takes you through rich rhododendron timberland, porch farmlands, country ethnic towns, and incredible landscapes around Annapurna Massif.
Additionally, gushing rivers, swashing waterfalls, and streams are other significant parts trekkers will spot in this journey. Moreover, crossing these rivers over a bamboo bridge and engineered overpasses are other blissful aspects not to miss on this trip. Following the stone flight of stairs, steep slopes, and hills, you will cross numerous unusual towns and villages. Some extraordinary towns are Ghorepani, Chhomrong, Dovan, Deurali, Jhinu Danda, and many more in transit.
