Overview

The Pisang Peak appears in the Manang district of Nepal in the north. It lies between Annapurna I and Manaslu. It is a relatively simple climb that leads to peak the most popular trekking peak in the Annapurna region. Above the village, Pisang Peak rises as a slope in a uniform pattern to a snow and ice slope at its summit. Pisang peak was first climbed by a German expedition in 1955, and it has since become a very popular mountain.

It is considered an easy climbing peak, offering its climbers a fascinating journey through diverse ecosystems, cultures, and breathtaking landscapes, While this climb is considered to be among the easier ones in the Himalayan region, a fairly high level of fitness and health is still strongly recommended.

The Climbing trip is another beautiful trekking and climbing adventure in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. A marvelous combination of climbing the Pisang peak and trekking around Annapurna Circuit, this trip is one of the most beautiful adventure trips in the Annapurna.

Also called Jong Ri, that lies in the Annapurna region is a beautiful 6,091 meters mountain peak. This wonderful peak is reached after trekking half way through up to Pisang on the Annapurna Circuit trail and taking a different route towards the Pisang peak base camp. After a German expedition team climbed this mountain in 1,955, several climbers have already summited this peak.

Seasoned trekkers and amateur climbers can climb this beautiful pyramidal peak. Traversing the Marshyangdi River valley up towards the  peak only warms the adventurers up for the summit adventure. After climbing the peak, the trek continues towards Manang valley and crosses Thorong La pass at the elevation of 5,416 meters above sea level before trekking back down to Jomsom.

When is the most suitable time to climb Pisang Peak?

Pisang Peak can be climbed at any time of year. Spring, Autumn, Monsoon, and Winter are the four seasons. Spring and autumn are the ideal times to climb Pisang Peak.

The peak seasons are spring and autumn. This time of year, nature blooms in the valley, bringing its beauty to all. Due to the absence of precipitation and snowfall, walking is comfortable. A clear sky also makes for a stunning view of the peaks and landscapes. The days are sunny and hot during these seasons, while the nights are mild. In the mountains, the weather and temperature are ideal for trekking.

Monsoon and winter can also be done, but there are some challenges to overcome. These are seasons of snow and rain. The cold weather and slick paths make the trek exciting and challenging. It is the best time for peace lovers because the routes are less crowded then.

The cost of climbing Pisang Peak may vary depending on the season. Permit rates are determined by the season.
